March, 2017
Our first investigation of 2017 was another successful one! We decided to investigate the St. Augustine Light Station (otherwise knows as the St. Augustine Lighthouse) due to its interesting and storied history, as well as the fact that it is supposed to be one of the most haunted locations in the U.S. We were armed with all of our equipment, as well as our newest team member, Kim. Before entering the property at the start of our investigation, we had a nice talk with some friendly ladies who were exiting the Lighthouse's Dark of the Moon tour; these ladies told us what they experienced during their tour, and, armed with this exciting information, we were eager to get inside and set up our equipment. We set up numerous cameras and voice recorders in the areas that, through research and through speaking with staff members, we thought would give us the best chance at capturing paranormal evidence. The clips to the right highlight some of the evidence that we were able to capture that night. (Note: to best hear these audio clips, you should be in quiet location, with headphones on and the volume turned up to high.)
1) Clip #1 was captured in the lighthouse tower. While the team was inside conducting an EVP session, investigator Kristy thought that she heard a hum or a groan, so she hummed a few notes herself (which is captioned in the video). Several seconds later, a stationary camera that was set up on the stairway captured, what we believe is a male voice saying "saw you". As a side note, there were no males present anywhere on the light station property that night. 2) Clip #2 is another EVP that has us very excited! This EVP was captured on stationary camera located on the stairway in the lighthouse tower. This camera was left to run on its own, and all team members had exited the tower about 20 minutes prior to this recording (and we did not return until about 35 minutes after this recording)...there was no one in or around the tower when this camera recorded, what we believe, is a woman whispering "they'll find you". 3) Clip #3 is also an EVP that was captured on another stationary camera (located two stairway landings up from the camera that captured clip #3). This EVP occurred about 15 minutes after all team members exited the tower and the camera was left to record on its own. We believe that we captured a male whispering the name "Erica", followed by they word "hey" and then a series of unexplained bangs. 4) Clip #4 was captured on a voice recorder that was set up to run, on its own, inside a wooden playground structure that was built to resemble a ship. No footstep nor any movement precedes this recording, which was captured about an hour and a half after we left it to run on its own. Additionally, 3 motion cameras were set up around the playground as well; nothing and no one set off the cameras prior to this EVP being recorder (in short, there is no way someone could have approached the playground to say the words that we recorded). The EVP is clearly a male saying, what we believe is "hey, hey" (again, there were no males on the property that night).
